Educational Resources – Mental Health

There is a lot of information out there on mental health, but so little of it seems to be talking to the person who is living the experience as the caregiver.  I want to learn from someone who has situational empathy for what I’m experiencing, not a list of symptoms, but someone who knows what it’s like to be in my shoes.  Who can tell me what I should expect to take on – and if they can give me some hacks along the way, that’d be great.

Here’s a list of resources that I’ve found helpful.  My disclosure that comes with this… not all of these sources are “perfect” – but they have provided helpful insights.  I’ll try to add to this post if I come across other resources which are helpful, but I’d say these were the primary sources that helped me reach my current level of understanding.

YouTube Channels – Surviving Narcissism; MedCircle

Websites – Out of the Fog

Books – Stop Walking on Eggshells; Talking to Crazy; Should I stay or Should I Go?

TED Talks – Anne Lamott
